"Tech Talk" airs on public television stations in Minnesota. It is uplinked from Twin Cities Public Television (TPT). Their Web address is: http://www.tpt.org/mnchannel/index.html. Any public television station in the U.S. could downlink this series if they wish. If you are interested in having it air in your community you would need to contact your local PBS affiliate and tell them about the program. They could contact TPT to get the satellite coordinates (Shari Lamke at slamke@tpt.org).
We, the "Tech Talk" producers, request the station let us know they are going to carry it so we can put that information on our Web site. We also request the program not be broadcast a year after the uplink date, since the topics we discuss are dated very quickly.
You may already know this but once [each episode] airs, Real and Quicktime [streaming video] files [of it] are available on the Web site [in the Current Episodes section. You do need a broadband connection to view those files.
Thanks for your interest in the show.
Thanks for the info. I'll stick to Web access, though I dislike RealPlayer and Quicktime and all the garbage they try to install on my PC, usually without notice. Any chance of uploading wmv or mpg versions?
Looks like a great show for novices and those of us who like to keep up with changes. Keep up the good work.
