    Firewire USB Conversion

    A viewer asked:

    I have a PowerMac. It has several Firewire 400 and several USB v1.0 connections. Is there a device or converter that I can purchase to have my USB devices plug into the Firewire 400 to get USB v2.0 speed?

    Answer

    "Tech Talk" responded:

    There is no device that will convert USB devices to Firewire devices, but you could easily add a PCI USB2.0 card to a powermac for less than $40. IOGear makes a number of appropriate devices, and installation is pretty straightforward.
