The government is increasingly taking advantage of online technologies. Maybe you've e-filed your taxes or renewed your license plates online, but there are hundreds of services available to citizens that are only a click away. Colleen is the assistant commissioner for electronic government strategies in the Minnesota Office of Enterprise Technology. Prior to that, she worked for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR). During her 21 years with the DNR, she held a variety of information management positions, including spending five years as the department’s chief information officer.
Steven is an online strategist and public speaker focused on the use of the Internet in democracy, governance, and community. He helped create E-Democracy.org — the world's first election-oriented Web site. Steven was recently inducted as an Ashoka Fellow, which will allow him to work full time on the organization, particularly the issues forums.
