Today's libraries aren't just places filled with stacks of books—they are community gathering places with staff actively engaged with patrons. On this episode of "Tech Talk," we look at how technology is making this possible.
Kit has been the director of Minneapolis Public Library since March 2003. She has refocused and reorganized services, staffing, and operations in response to changes in funding and technology. Kit was also instrumental in managing a building plan that includes the new central library.
John directs the University of Minnesota Libraries' Digital Library Development Lab, which produces systems, architecture, integrations, and tools for the online research library. He was also the director of the Libraries' Distance Learning Development Project—a program that implemented an array of library services to distance learners.
Minneapolis Public Library has a wealth of online resources including information on their new library in downtown Minneapolis.
