Computers are great tools for both work and play . . . if they are working. On this episode, we discuss what to do if your computer breaks down. We'll look at some options for repairing computers and what you can do to prevent them from breaking down in the first place.
Mario has a master's degree in software systems from the University of St. Thomas. He was a building technology coordinator for Minneapolis Public Schools and now works for the University's Academic and Distributed Computing Services where he is involved in technology training and computer support.
Leonard has a degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota, where he is currently a programmer. He has spent five of the last six years at the University working for University Computer Services diagnosing and repairing computers.

Plugin
A plugin (or plug-in) is a computer program that can, or must, interact with another program to provide a specific function. It is essentially an add-on to a main program that enables the main program to perform additional functions (e.g , display graphic formats, encrypt information, play specific video formats).
Processor fan
A fan used to cool the processor in a computer. Computers can break down because of overheating. Fans help regulate the temperature and cool parts as needed.
System restore
System restore is a function on Windows computers that removes system changes made after the restore point selected. System restore does not affect personal data files and cannot remove virus or spyware infections.
